My DS is Jackson but we call him Jax, Jack, and sometimes Jackie. He is used to having a bunch of nn by now lol! I am a huge Sons of Anarchy fan so I've always loved Jax as a nn.
I have to agree with previous posters - I like it as a nickname for Jackson, but by itself, it's too cutesy. I can't imagine a man going on job interviews with the name Jax.
What's next in the X trend? Zax?

A couple I know from college just named their son Jaxson, nn Jax. It's NMS. And I totally think of Jax from Mortal Kombat. But it's not a bad name per se.

I like it as a nn for Jackson but not as a standalone name.

Yux.
Apple Jax.
The X trend is almost worse than the Y trend. Jackson is a good name, but only spelled like this, with no X. I like Jack even more.

Jax...
It's a game, not a name.
This made me Ell Oh Ell.
