Lost the baby

I made it to 9 weeks, the longest we've ever been in our pregnancy and IVF journey, only to have miscarried on the same day. We are so heartbroken and have no idea what our next step will be yet. We have one more try at IVF under our insurance, but not sure if either if us can go thru a 4th round. We took a 2yr break after round 2 and this round, but we aren't getting any younger. All we have ever wanted was that sacred bond between husband and wife, and not to say it won't ever happen, it just feels like a distant dream right now. We are open to the idea of adoption but to feel someone growing inside of me is something I've always dreamed of. I would like to say thank you to the women who have helped and encouraged me through the best 9 weeks of my life.

I'm so sorry for you loss. Loss alone is so heartbreaking, and to couple it with infertility is just unimaginable heartbreak.

Your post makes it sound like this isn't your first loss. Have you had aggressive RPL testing done before? This is a great link to the tests that should be run. I also really clung to Beer's book, "Is Your Body Baby Friendly". With the knowledge I learned from it, it enabled me to push for certain medications without which I would have just kept losing pregnancies over and over

I apologize if this is old information to you. I don't believe in "bad luck" when it comes to recurrent loss, and I hate to see anyone give up hope when if hey haven't exhausted all the options.
