Extreme Couponing for Diapers

Extreme Couponing for Diapers . . . or not so extreme . . . just couponing for diapers . . .

What are your tricks?  Where do you find your coupons?  Where do you buy your diapers?  What diapers do you get?  What's the best deal you've gotten?  Is there an app for that?  LOL!

I want / need to be better at saving money on diapers and are looking for some tricks and hints!!!

I normally use Pampers Swaddlers.  I always use a coupon to buy them.  In general I buy cases at BRU (164 diapers for $46.99), then use a BRU $8 off Pampers coupon and a $1.50 or $2.00 manufacture coupon.  So on average $164 diapers for $36.99 ... still .22 cents per diaper.  I want to do better!

Share your secrets!!!

Obviously I can switch to another brand.  Currently we are using BRU diapers during the day at daycare and Pampers Swaddlers at night and weekends.

Re: Extreme Couponing for Diapers

  • Sorry I don't have any couponing tricks.  We use up & up (Target brand) diapers.  We have had no problems with them and they are SO MUCH cheaper.  I don't remember the exact price. I stock up when I go, so it's been a while since I've been. I sometimes get coupons for $2 off if you buy 2 packs making them even cheaper.

I would recommend trying them out.

  • One time I had a coupon for BRU and I ended up paying $0.14 per diaper for pampers. We switched to Luvs now, and with Amazon Mom subscribe and save I pay $0.12 per diaper without coupon clipping.

This. We buy Luvs from amazon with prime free shipping, 20% off with amazon mom and subscribe and save. Dh and I did a lot of comparing prices before dd2 was born, and believe this is the cheapest option. IMO, buying diapers and stuff from BRU is more expensive. Even with coupons and stuff, it still seems the same price as anywhere else.

  • My favorite way to save $$ on diapers is to use cloth!  But that wasn't exactly what you meant, was it?  Haha!

When we use disposables, we use Luvs.  Somebody once told me that Luvs is actually made by the Pampers company, which is why they are so similar.  (Seems true to me--we liked Pampers and Luvs, but hated Huggies.)  And, Luvs is waaaay less expensive!

I also agree with the PP about BRU being more expensive.  I think you can get better deals at Target or Walmart when they run sales--especially if you use coupons too!  Target's brand if diapers is okay too, but Walmart's diapers are terrible.  I've never ordered diapers from Amazon (we don't use enough sposies), but they probably are the best bargain that way.

  • I use Amazon Mom for my diapers - free shipping, no sales tax and 20% off.

I was getting Pamers Swaddlers Size 2 for 17 cents a diaper (248 diapers for $43).

DS has moved up to size 3. I was able to catch a one day sale they had on Amazon for size 3 Pampers Cruisers and got them for 10 cents a diaper (186 diapers for $18.63) so I bought 3 cases of them ( I haven't bough diapers since late October).  Normally the size 3 cruisers are $37.75 on Amazon Mom subscribe and save for 186 diapers. Right now Amazon has a $2 e-coupon you can use to make them $35.75 for 186 Pampers Cruisers Size 3 (19 cents per diaper).

I also get my wipes from Amazon.  I get 864 Pampers Wipes for 18.01

It has totally been worth the $79 I paid.  Plus I get all the other Amazon Prime benefits like free 2-day shipping, free streaming movies, free books for my kindle.
