I am second guessing the u/s now.... I know I just need to be patient and wait until Friday to see heartbeats, but I just keep thinking about it! Is it really possible for one of our embryos to have split into two seperate sacs? We only put two embryos in, but the tech was pretty positive there were three sacs, and she said the one had split.
Is this all possible?
Re: Is it REALLY possible that there were three sacs?
It's very possible for identicals to happen. I think one of the girls here as a set of identical girls and another fraternal girl. They are older and for the life of me, I can't remember who... I think the girls names are Anna something else with an A and Morgan?
My one embryo split into two and I didn't 'put' any in :-P'
I guess I am wondering if it's really possible that there were 3 sacs. I mean don't identicals have to spilt pretty early to have separate sacs? I was thinking they would not have their own gestational sac unless it split before our 5 day transfer...
sure is possible...I conceived TRIPLETS spontaneously...
the "think" it was a set of identicals and a fraternal (at 6w2d)...
but unfortunatly for us at 10w or so we lost baby C
but sweetie it is VERY possible. I wish you all the blessings in the world!

and regarding the number of gestational sacs - since two of yours are close together, maybe they split right after they were transferred?
you could post on tripletconnection.com - you'd get lots of good info there.

Thanks everyone! You all make wonderful points I can't wait until Friday!!
My girls are identical- they technically shared a sac but there was a thin membrane inbetween them so on a u/s it looked like 2 sacs- especially in very early u/s's. I am guessing that I had 2 eggs and one split for me to have the id girls and then the other egg was my boy!
Congrats- triplets are soo much fun!
Thank you ladies All of your stories are very incredible! I think that multiples are just such a miracle and I am truly amazed at the possibility of three babies!
Yes. We did a 5 day 2 embryo transfer and initially had sacs...I'm 35 weeks along with twins - one of the sacs didn't get a heartbeat, which - sounds awful - but we were relieved about.
