Ok, I need 3-4 more diapers to finish out my wash EOD daycare stash. I currently have 4 BG 4.0s and 5 SoftBums Omnis that we use as pockets, all in aplix .
I'm considering the folowing:
Option A: Buy more BG 4.0s. I don't particulary like the suede cloth material, but they are easy for daycare to use and we've had very few leaks.
Option B: Try one Blueberry pocket in aplix and one Thirsties Duo Diaper. Buy two more of whichever option I like better.
Option C: Get 4 cute covers (maybe SweetPea OSs, Best Bottoms, and Thirsties Duos Wraps) and a package of prefolds to lay trifolded into the covers. (We'd just have them only use each cover once to keep it easy on them.)
If it makes any difference, we are currently using AC size 1s as AI2s for our at home diapering. I love them, but LO is 15 pounds and I suspect we'll have to buy the next size up or buy some bigger rise OS diapers to replace them in the next 3 months or so. I'm currently considering replacing with 3 size two AC, 2 Blueberry pockets, and some prefolds or fitteds with OS covers. Buying Option B or C would give me an idea if I like Blueberry and/or BB enough to make them part of my stash.
Thoughts? Other options I should consider?
Re: What would you buy?
Ooo. I forgot about BG elementals. They run bigger don't they? I'm not a big fan of the drying time of AIOs (call me impatient), but I could maybe stand it if they are DC only diapers and made from natural fibers.
I'm not wild about the BG aplix, but it is replaceable if it wears out. Personally, I would try C and send the covers with the pf already folded into them. If they wind up not using them, you have a good excuse to buy more. (Uh oh, I think I;ve been drinking the kool-aid. here) If I could offer option D, I'd try at least one Simplex. I used one with DS yesterday for the first time, and I love it! I even had to snap it on the smallest rise setting, where he's on the 2nd setting in his BG's.

I bet the Blueberrys are nice but I've never tried them. I didn't read all the PPs but I saw Swaddlebees in there somewhere. I love Swaddlebees.
Ha ha...the kool-aid here is so good though! I have been wanting to try a Simplex, but I'm just so impatient with drying. Hence my love hate relationship with BG 4.0s. The MF inserts dry so fast that it's tempting to buy more even though I'm scared the aplix will wear out so fast.
Unfortunately I think it needs to be aplix. We started out using our AC snaps at DC and he was going through 3 outfits a day due to leaks. They just couldn't figure out the snaps no matter how many times I showed them.
I've avoided RaRs because I hear the rise is pretty short. I have a tall baby. He's already over 26 inches and only 3.5 months old.
I've heard good things about Kawaii and Alvas, but DH seems pretty adamant about wanting to buy US/Canada made. We'll see. Maybe if I show him the prices he'll be willing to cave for DC diaps.

I would do option B except get all Blueberry. Thirsties aplix really sucks (as in it might be worse than BG). Blueberry aplix is awesome and their standard pockets have fleece inners.
This. All Blueberries. A lot of kids develop a sensitivity to the microsuede in BGs, plus the aplix is much better and the elastic is gentler.
I agree I'd do Kawaii for daycare. I really like the aplix on ours. That's what I leave for DH if he puts DD2 to bed when I'm not there. He actually put a snap diaper on backwards last time I was gone.
