flat head comment/coworker vent

Took my precious to work with me and a coworker commented that my son must sleep on his back because his head is flat. I said that's what they say to do with babies now b/c of sids. She replied yeah they just say that because it sids hasbeen tricking them for the last 30 years. Nevermind my kid's head isn't flat anyway. She then went on to say that her 2 month old granddaughter is already mimicking sounds. Whatever lady.

Oh yeah, and she always finds a way to mention how smart she is in every conversation.

The back sleeping campaign had reduced SIDS rates by 50%... doesn't sound like SIDS has been totally "tricking" them to me... I'd ignore almost everything this woman says, that isn't work related! I don't understand why it's hard to just say something nice about a beautiful baby you meet for the first time!

stupid. i just try to ignore these comments and move on. my SIL asked why my kid isn't crawling yet when she was only 12 weeks old because she knows another baby who was (he was over 6 months tho)...
