9W update, All Kinds of Wh0ring, w/PIPs

We had our first MFM appointment yesterday and PgAL nerves were in full force, made worse by failed attempts at trying to find the heartbeat with the doppler the night before (I know I know...) and all pregnancy symptoms completely subsided - even the boobies have been feeling a bit deflated the past few days Crying   In addition to worrying if there as even going to be a heartbeat, which we've seen before at 9w, I was worried about not seeing movement, which I've always heard about at these 9w appointments, but didn't see our first time.

First, HELLO fancy ultrasound equipment!!! The think looked like it belonged to NASA. The tech started with an abdominal scan, and there was little baby, heart beating away with a rate of 180 bpm!! It was great to see where the tech was positioning the wand too, because I was looking way too low with the doppler. 

Then we switched to the the dildo cam, and baby was giving us all kinds of waves and kicks. DH & I were in TEARS. We even got to see it in 3D!

DH, whose pretty much refused to talk about this pregnancy in any kind of futuristic terms, confessed that he's hoping for a girl after I told him what the old wives tale about heartrates means - mainly because he's terrified a boy will be like a walking heart attack like he was to his father (I really think he has no understand of all the trouble girls get into Stick out tongue ) and sitting in the waiting room waiting to see the MFM, he was even browsing through Facebook looking and hinting at girls names he likes.  this is a MAJOR step for him!

The actual consult with MFM was uneventful. He said my RE likes to hand out Lovenox like candy, but in my case it looked like I really needed it. He wasn't too concerned about MTHFR in itself but did care about the homocyteine levels, he was much more interested in my acquired thrombophilia, which is Sjorgen's Syndrome (which apparently is a propensity for dry eyes - which I have but always assumed it was from wearing contacts). He thought the Medrol was probably unnecessary but rendered no judgement about wanting to be precautionary and aggressive. So just keep doing what we're doing, we'll continue to watch the blood, and see where that takes us.

And.... Just to make things interesting, Scheduled NTScan for our big loss milestone at 12w3d, the day before Valentine's Day...

    Yowza! That is one cute baby and some great boobies you got there! I can make up an explanation for what you see in the blob pic, but I'm not sure it's accurate. So glad you got to see arms and legs moving!

    We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.

    It was a rough road, but Arlo Daniel was born April 1, 2013—and our second rainbow is due October 12, 2014.

    Lots of testing, all clear with the exception of compound heterozygous for the MTHFR mutation. 

    Cycle 1: Femara, trigger shot, Bravelle added due to slow response = BFN
    Cycle 2: Cancelled due to two cysts =(
    Cycle 3: Femara, Bravelle, trigger shot and IUI = BFP then loss #3
    Cycle 4: Femara, Follistim, trigger shot and IUI = BFP!  EDD: 6/7/14

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
    2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.
