I had my third midcycle monitoring appt. this morning.  I didn't have much hope in this cycle since it was CD20 and on my u/s on CD 15 and 18 I didn't have any follies bigger than 10mm and no growth between appts.  So this morning, since it was a saturday, DH decided he wanted to go with me for the first time, just out of curiosity, to see how this all worked.  Anyways, I get in, get the u/s going and there's a 20mm follie staring at us.  whoa!  that popped up out of nowhere.  two days ago it couldn't have been half that size.  I did have a lot of cramping yesterday, but I sure didn't expect this.  And my lining is ready to go at 10mm.  Just waiting on the blood work to see if I need to tigger or if I'm surging on my own.  But this just goes to show, you shouldn't give up just because its starting out slow.  It took until CD 20 to get my follie this cycle.

My husband just went for the first time with me to monitoring too on our fourth IUI cycle (fifth medicated cycle) so I was surprised to only see 12-13mm's since normally they're like 15mm by now at least.  DH said maybe it's best to go low and slow.  Since no other cycle has worked for us before I am hoping slow and steady wins the race.  GL for you too on that front!

Thank you for posting this. H and I are doing IVF and I went in for a u/s today and of the 25 we started with, it looks like only 3 are growing. But, your post has given me hope that a lot of growing can happen in a short time! So again, thank you for posting this.
