Long night *vent*

So I have been on bed rest since leaving the hospital for preterm labor at 34 weeks.  I hit 36 weeks on Tuesday and I was still dilated 3 cm (same as hospital) and 70% effaced.  My doctor told me I could stop taking my Procardia and if I went into labor they probably wouldn't stop me anymore.  Baby was measuring 6lb 11oz, so he will be fine when he comes out.  So I have been up doing some cleaning and finally having intimate time with my husband again. Last night I started having contractions that would knock me down at 10:30pm.  After trying to sleep and taking a warm shower, I called my sister at 1:30am because they were not getting any better.  She timed them 2 minutes apart and lasting 1.5-2.5 minutes.  So I woke up hubby and we headed to the hospital.  By the time I was hooked to the monitors I had been in labor 5 hours and you could really see my contractions.  Nurse checked me, and I was still only 3 cm!  I was so frustrated.  She called my doctor after tracking my contractions for about 10 minutes and my doctor stopped my labor! They gave me a shot of Terb that they said would calm down my uterus.  After an hour things were calm with some residual pain and they sent me home.  I was so frustrated because I had all the horrible pain with no dilation and my doctor stopped me after she said "we probably wouldn't stop you at this point."  The nurse also told us they will not induce until 39 weeks by law and basically that I am in limbo  So now I am taking it easy because I do not want to contract again like that if it's not going to make me dilate!

I am so sorry.  I hope the next time you have pain you are pushing out your healthy LO.  Prayers for a safe delivery.
