"Will our expert Springs1 weigh in or is that just on food based tipping?"
I have and will NEVER get a tattoo, but if I were the type, OF COURSE you should tip just like if you get your hair cut or something like that, except probably a good chunk more, I would say let's hypothetically say I'd get a tattoo, I'd probably give at the very least $10-$15 for a tip if i was decently satisfied and $20 for hugely satisfied.
That's just my opinion though. Think about how hard it is to draw on someone. I think that's much harder than cutting someone's hair for example. Just my take though. I still will never get one though. I feel it ruins your body of your natural look. Plus, what if you regret it in years to come?
Usually yes although last time I didn't. I was paying for the tattoo for my mom. She wanted a lady bug on her arm. It took 5 minutes. I could have drawn it. The shop minimum was 100 bucks and the guy doing it is a partner in the shop. I didn't think it was tip worthy.

Re: S/o tipping
H said there is no standard percentage, but $20-40 was normal.
He worked in a well-known, reputable shop.
That sounds about right.
That is just for Applebees.
ETA and her recent spottings have been in the evenings.
Mayhaps I will ask a Applebee's related question tonight after a few drinks... Please stay tuned.
I have to watch Sherlock tonight so it will be quite a few pages of play time before I can come in and crush her for you.
Get someone to facebook alert me if you all get tired.
Haha. I'll send a bat signal when my resolve weakens and I find myself buying into Spring's way of thinking.
If it's a tramp stamp then you're probably the one getting the tip.

Not by a no name tattoo artist doing a tattoo I could do.
