My cake exploded...

Literally exploded in my oven. I almost cried. I've wante to eat this cake for more than a week. So I make myself make it and BLAM...everywhere. No reason or rhyme to it. So I put what was left back in the oven. Desperate much?

I do have to clean...but not tonight. And besides looking really messy... It looks fairly normal.

How it happened? No clue.
I think te cake gods are conspiring against me!!

I did salvage some of it. Though my stomach has decided it doesn't want sugar tonight bsugar and my stomach really hae a love hate relationship. But yeah it was a cherry delight cake. White cake with cherry jello throughout topped with whipped cream and cherries. Normally my fave.

Oh no - poor you!  When I first moved to Colorado this used to happen to me ALL the time because I had no idea that altitude affects baking.  I feel your frustration!
