This doesn't end well, does it?

I got a BFP on Christmas Day, our first TTC attempt this time around.  Wow were we surprised!  Betas were 351 (17 DPO) and 646 (19 DPO) - respectable, but not wow.  Ever since then no symptoms to speak of except a little nausea at night when I'm tired. 

We went in for an u/s today at 7 weeks.  They said the sac measured 5 weeks, no heartbeat detected.  They want us to come back in 10 days for a followup u/s.  The nurse said my dates could be wrong.  Uhm, I had sex exactly twice since October (no comment), and it was on my chart as such, with a BFP 11 DPO.  I'm pretty sure my dates are right.  I always sensed something wasn't right, just as I did with our first pg which ended with a m/c.

This doesn't have a happy ending, does it?  I just want to weep, but DD needs me to be present.

    I'm sorry. I hope that it turns out well for you, but we know it doesn't always end up that way. Still keeping my FX for you, though.  ((hugs))

    Those early measurements can be off - and I wish I knew the answer for you right now to set your mind at ease, but I am sending you T&P for good measure, just in case.  Also a generous dose of ((Hugs))

    Huge hugs... I really hope it turns out to be all okay... hoping these next 10 days fly by...

    ((Hugs)) I'm sorry you're stuck in limbo. I hope you get a suprise and LO catches up. In the mean time, it's ok to cry.

    I really hope that things turn out positive, but either way, I'm sending FX, and T&P and hope the next ten days go by quickly.  Sorry you are having to go through this!  As you can see, you'll definitely be in our thoughts, and we are hoping for the best ~

    I'm sorry you're going through this. With my 2nd son, they couldn't even find him at 6 weeks, they saw the sac and they think they got a blip of heart beat. They couldn't see him again at 8 weeks with the vaginal u/s and at the last minute of the appt decided to do an abdominal u/s and saw him. But he was always really hard to get any pictures of, we couldn't even see that he was a boy for the longest time. 

    I'm really hoping you've just got a stubborn baby like mine was. ((hugs))
