We had always thought we would name our baby girl Arianne but lately have thought Marchesa is pretty as well. They are completely different styles which makes us so torn. Which do you prefer?
The pronunciation you have for Marchesa is not what came to my head when I read it. I think it might get pronounced incorrectly a lot, and that would be an issue for me. I thought i was mar-chess-uh or march-s-uh
I actually don't think Marchesa would have that many pronunciation issues. I would think a lot of people have at least heard of it due to the designer... plus I don't think it's that hard to figure out. Just my opinion though. I personally wouldn't use it because of the designer, but I like it.

I do like your middle names a lot! Any chance you would want to consider either of them for first name?
Ariel would be a second option to Arianne but I am not really a Disney person so I wouldn't really want that association. While Marchesa is a brand, it is also a real name as well. For the middle names...I think they are a little plain for first names.

i'm probably a little slow but I don't know that I would have ever got the pronunciation correct and am not familiar with the designer.

I agree. Marchesa would assuredly have pronunciation issues since it's not pronounced like it's spelled--at the least, most people wouldn't think to pronounce the "ch" like a "k" sound, and I've never heard of the designer.
Re: Marchesa or Arianne?
I like Marchesa, but I think you are going to be dealing with pronunciation issues. If that doesn't bother you, I say go for it.
Arianne is just OK to me.

Well, I would pick Arianne

Marchesa reminds me of a dress at the Oscars. ( its a fashion designer)
Of the two I would use Arianne. As PPs stated I think you'll have pronunciation issues with Marchesa.
Yes, Marchesa is the name of a high- end fashion label, but it's also a legit name.

My mind automatically went to the designer as well, but then again, I am a weekly viewer of Fashion Police.

Exactly what I was thinking!
This. As a former teacher, many people are going to have a hard time saying the other name!
Spelled that way probably not, but it sounds exactly like Aryan when Arianne is said aloud.
This!
I don't like either. Arianne makes me think Aryan and Marchesa is a clothing line. What about Arianna/Ariana?
Hm, maybe it`s just me but I pronounce them differently. I say Aryan as Air-ee-uhn, vs Air-ee-anne.
This, except I was guessing mar-cheese-uh.
