Starting Estrogen Patches (Vivelle Dot) - what about sugar?

I start my estrogen patches tomorrow and we were reading about it effecting blood sugar levels.  Did anyone limit their sugar? I've cut out all caffeine, and read that aspartame is horrible for IVF so I've been trying to stick with root beer (and water of course).  I'm illergic to milk, but drink almond milk.  Is it necessary to give up everything besides water and milk at this point?  Do I need to try to avoid all sugar completely?  Thanks!

I havent been told to limit sugar and Im always on the patch. I can tell you this I am a soda/chocolate whore. I cant live without either of them.Oh and I live in Texas so sweet tea (caffinated) is part of my diet. I only cut down my caffine intake after ET and I say cut down but Ive never given it up. I also never had any side effects from it. Good luck to you.

I've been on the patches twice and my RE never said anything to me about a diet change. I would definitely call and ask your RE

I'm starting my patches this weekend, I haven't been told anyting about sugar, but I haven't done my walk through with the nurse yet either.

That being said, I'm pretty much already off sugar other than what's in fruit. I'm on this horrid diet from my naturopath which goes something like this - if it tastes good, I can't eat it. But I am losing weight so there it is.

I am also on Vivelle Dot and was never told anything about needing to change my diet.

Thanks!  I decided I will stop drinking soda as much as possible.  A little sip now and then isn't going to hurt
