High Temps After Stopping BCP? HELP! <3

I was put on BCP for a 2 week period in an attempt to eliminate a functional ovarian cyst.  I noticed my temps were high on the BCP (98.3, where as I'm usually around 97.2), so I stopped temping.  I spotted the whole second week of taking the pill, and the spotting continued after stopping the pill for the past 5 days, but it's just more brown gook (sorry TMI).  I have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow to see the status of the cyst, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this experience with the pill re: temps?  Did your doctor make you wait until your temp dropped?

    The meds affect your temps, but she didn't wait until they dropped. RE: spotting- BCP always gave me breakthrough bleeding (mostly light pink) so it could be cyst that burst.

    Kat - while I'm aware that meds effect my temps, I've been off BCP for 5 days now, so I'm wondering why my temp is still so high.  I've taken progesterone in the past and my temp crashes gradually as the days go by where I'm no longer taking it.  But thanks for your input :-)

    For the curious reader who has a cyst and is concerned - I had a large cyst that occupied my entire left ovary and after 2 weeks on BCP, 6 days OFF bcp resulted in AF and an u/s today showed NO cyst!!!  Ovaries clear!  Sit tight - it will go away soon! :-)
