WFD?

I have a handful of go-to recipes that I'm trying to decide between. DH and I are both incredibly indecisive. It's between, beef stew, enchiladas, lasagna, and garlic mac n cheese. All of them serve a family of 7 so we will be eating it for a few days.

Polls aren't working or what? damn you, bump.

  • Enchiladas

  • Make the stew. I was supposed to make it Saturday but DH was pukey so I made nothing. His mom cooked it up yesterday for him.

Tonight it's his turn to cook so it will probably be take out. I might get a big ass calzone

  • And yeah. Damn you bump. I just started playing with clicky polls. I think bump Kathleen busted them on her way out in a fit.

  • Of your choices, I'd pick lasagne because cheese has been sounding & tasting really good lately.

For us though, we are having chicken fettuccine alfredo with broccoli.

Mmm chicken alfredo sounds good, too. Lasagna is probably the easiest to make. I still have to go to the store. If C's nap runs much longer then I might just have to do that.

  • Turkey shepherd's pie with Boursin mashed potatoes. Damn you Costco sample people for encouraging me to put fancy cheese in potatoes.
  • Enchiladas sounds good. We had shrimp and grits.

  • Mac and cheese. Mmm.
  • We are having homemade calzones and salad. There also homemade cheddar bay biscuits in the kitchen that I may make DH eat so that I am not tempted to eat them all...

  • I vote lasagna.

I'm making crockpot fajitas tonight. Smells good!

Make the lasagna! I've been thinking of making one this week, too.

Tonight I was a stellar example of dietary choices. (I feel the need to throw in, "This is totally not like me!!!!1!!1)  I had a PopTart followed later by Triscuits and some cheddar cheese slices. Embarrassed

Don't feel bad. Last night I had Nutella on a granola bar. Then DH came home with In n Out.

  • Hmm? Of your choices I'd go with stew. It freezes well right? That way you don't have to eat it for days.

We are having spaghetti squash with meat sauce.

  • Beef stew.

A very basic recipe with stew meat, tossed with flour and browned. Potatoes, baby carrots, onion, celery. Beef broth. Brought to a boil and simmered. Add in a small amount of flour mixed with water to thicken the broth (optional). Simmer some more. Salt and pepper, if you like.

Italian bread for dipping/sopping up the gravy/broth.

    Pure comfort!
