Registries

(Cross posted to 3rd trimester)

Good morning Ladies! Invitations have gone out for a couple baby showers and I started getting nervous last night that I was missing something "big" that I would regret later on my registries. Does anyone care to share their registry? :)

 Mine are:
Target - https://www.target.com/baby/registry/ZgpbWV4I-y3bPNuUcz7iMQ
Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/registry/baby/2C45CER008PTG

Disclaimer: DH had a moment of panic last week when I ended up in L&D for an afternoon. All is fine with baby, but he decided he would get the car seat, crib, bedding, stroller, and monitor. Some of his family members are "buying" them from him to give to us at our shower, so they are missing from the registry, but we have them already.

Re: Registries

  • Anything that you "miss" on your registry that you find that you actually need, you can go and buy.  I had a similar scare during my last pregnancy at 33 weeks that got those last minute things cleaned up pretty quickly :)  Even if you are missing some key items when she/he is born, you can run out and get them.

  • My suggestions aren't necessarily "big" and you def. may not feel comfortable putting some of them of your registry but here's what I suggest you make sure you have on hand. Keep in mind I'm a FTM and my suggestions are based solely off what I've had other people suggest to me.

    1. Pads and dermaplast for after delivery care - Yes, these could be bought later but you may be tired and I find it much easier to get my lady supplies myself versus sending DH.

    2. I noticed you have a waterproof mattress cover for the crib. Perhaps consider one for your bed? Alot of people claim their water doesn't actually break when they go into labor but it never hurts to have one "just in case". Also, it wouldn't hurt for when children are older and in your bed on sick days in case they're still potty training.

    3. Maybe some decor to match your bedding/nursery? Like curtain, rod, lamp, rug, etc. I know this could also be purchased off the internet but it's alot easier for me to match shades of greens, yellows, pinks, etc. in person and then order it off the registry later if necessary.
