Doing Too Much? - Pity Party

I'm 8w3d along and exhausted, as many of you are.  I work full-time, and I'm supposed to start school tonight.  My class is from 5-10 Monday and Tuesday nights (culinary school).  We also have a new puppy at home that needs to be taken out twice a night and my husband is out of town for work this week, so it's just me.  I'm on the verge of tears right now just thinking about how tired I'm going to be.  I just hope I'm not doing too much.  I don't want to overdo it, but I also love taking classes.  Not sure what to do.

  • You can do it. It will be rough. With DD I worked from 530 am til 230 then came home got a small nap and got up, showered made dinner for XH and DS then went to class from 5 til 1130 at night for MA. It was pretty rough but I did manage it.

  • You can do it! I'm sure it'll be rough, but you're tough! And just think, your dh will be home next week to help you again! :)

When my DD was born, I had just finished my BA. I was working for the state 40 hrs a week and then worked a 10 hr a week part time job (which I could take dd to). Not long into that venture, I decided to go back and get my first masters degree. So working 2 jobs and going to school and raising a kiddo by myself. Holy crap I was always tired! It sucks, but you'll get through it! I promise!

  • I feel your pain. I work from 7:305:30 pm everyday. I teach kindergarten as well as some afterschool classes. I come home and have to do school work because I am enrolled in a Masters program, and lesson plan. I also teach Saturday school. It's just me on my own so I need all the money now. I also have two dogs that I have to walk twice a day. With this exhaustion it has been pretty bad at times but I have been managing. lots of sleep on Sundays thats for sure. Once you get your routine going u will do great!

  • Thanks y'all!  I think I just needed some reassurance!  Y'all are great!
  • I think you can do it! Not saying it will be easy, but honestly the more active you can be the better anyways!
