My friends baby is turning 1 soon, and she lives in Mercer Island. I wanted to get her a gift card for swim classes or some type of mommy/me class, music. She works full time, ideally a place with a variety of times/days of the week would be great.

There is waterbabies swim classes about 15 minutes away from her 7 days a week, not sure they do gift cards and it is kind of expensive.

I think she would like KidsQuest they are open until 8pm on Friday and weekends till 5pm also about 15 minutes away. It is a place where kids can play and explore, they offer story times, crafts, special events.

If they spend a decent amount of time in Seattle then Pacific Science would also be good, but there parking is $8-10 each time. They have a butterfly house and a toddler play area. About 20 minutes away.

There are lots of other things, but they are all during the week (since there are more SAHMs than not in this area) or 30 minutes away,Gymboree, kindermusik, music together, little gym.

Maybe Bunch found something good in her neighborhood??

I know that there are also some music together (musictogether.com) classes on Mercer Island.  But I think those are more during the day as well.  I also love the zoo (zoo.org) and the aquarium (seattleaquarium.org).  A membership to one of those could be nice as well.
