Honestly- I didn't care what they did. I did my thing, they did theirs. My sisters usually did things together and my father and I did things together.
I was the oldest (barely.. my sister and I were born in Jan and Dec of the same year, then 2 years later the youngest sister came) so I really wasn't concerned with what they were doing.

I had a younger sister and an older brother growing up. There will be times when my brother and I would team up against my sister and vise versa. My sister and I played together more often, but we also did a lot of things with my brother. We loved to play video games with our cool older brother and as we got older we would go see movie together.
So yes, there will be times your daughters will team up together and leave your son out, but there will also be times when they all play together. Don't worry, when they are older they will all be able to hang out and do the same things!
I'm actually a TTMTGOB (third time mom two girls one boy) but I sometimes wonder (and worry) if my son will be left out and/or picked on (well, no if there, I'm sure he will be) by his big sisters.
Well I am a
TTMTBOG. My boys love their little sister and spoil her rotten. They play their
own things but they don?t pick on her and will sit in the living room and play with her. It could be the vast age
difference though.
13 yr old boy with ASD, ADHD and PICA, 11 yr old boy, 3 yr old Girl, & baby Girl.
PLus, I was youngest of three, two girls and a boy.. but my brother was the oldest and we were spread apart in age (each 5 years apart so me and my Bro were 10 years apart)... that did it more than anything for any tension or feeling left out.
See how nice everyone on Parenting is? (Well, except for me, obviously!) Penny you should post here more!
For everyone else, this post is inspired by this delightful thread about how wrong and mean it is to use the term STM (Second time moms) in a thread title: Clicky
That's a beautiful thread. I couldn't read 5 pages of that BS though.

I am the youngest of 4, the oldest is the only boy and yes, he was and still does get left out of things. I would think it would be the same way if it was 3 boys and 1 girl (or any odd number with more of one sex). My sisters and I have taken vacations with just us and do other "girl" things like going to get our nails done and such. My brother also got married 10 years before my siblings and while his kids are 21, 18 and 15, the oldest of my sisters and my kids is 11 (12 in April) so that also makes a big difference.
Re: TTMOBTG Only
I was a son with two sisters.

I have 3 kids, two boys and one girl, but I'm going to respond anyways;)
They gang up on each other and always change sides. It's doesn't matter.

I guess only time will tell.
What about NBAMOTAFMAIHACAAD...Never been a mom other than a fur mom and I have a cat and a dog?
In this thread your opinions are invalid as well!
So I guess we both lose
What is sex of your fur babies? If one is a boy and the other is a girl, I might consider listening to some of your points.

cat=boy
dog=girl
The dog gangs up on the poor cat, but the cat is a curmudgeon and needs to loosen up a bit.
