Has anyone else heard of how your face gives your pregnancy away to others? I had someone who told me that just by looking at my face they could tell I'm pregnant. She's older and she said that the intuition comes from experience and age.
I don't beleive. That she read an email you were typing to your husband. J/k I don't beleive it. I think behavior gives it away or certain things you say. When I was pregnant with DD I was happened to say out loud that I was watching caffeine and then the next day I had a headache and someone offered me Advil and replied with I can't take that. So they figured it out.
The only people who have "guessed" that I was pregnant are nosy old biddies that ask everyone of child bearing age if they are expecting. They have nothing better to start rumors at the tiniest inkling that someone might be pg. I'm mainly referring to one person in particular who would constantly give me that "knowing look" if I asked for help with something heavy, or wore a loose shirt, or didn't want to drink any alcohol. Heaven forbid I didn't feel well, because everyone knows if a woman is nauseated, there's only one cause for that.........But there are several other women in my life who have (wrongfully) jumped to the conclusion that I was pg.
Sorry, I started ranting a little, but either way I don't believe it. There is only one body part that shows you are pg, and that is your belly.
Supposedly, the extra blood flowing through our bodies makes our faces "glow". I was told by a friend of mine about a week after I found out that I was preggo, that my face just keeps getting prettier. She didn't realize what she was saying, but evidently I had the "glow". lol
What she's saying probably is that your face has gotten a little fuller. Which is a b!tchy thing to say. To commiserate, when I was pg with ds a cashier told me that I was having a girl because I was ::waves hand all over my body:: carrying all over. I was crushed for a good week. I always make sure that I tell pregnant women that they're nothing but belly.
I think what that person said was a little rude, but I do think some people are just particularly intuitive. One of my closest friends spotted my SIL when we were all out together and just knew by looking at her that my SIL had had a m/c (and she had). It's weird. She probably looked sad or something, especially with all the kids around. I think we give a lot away without realizing. I think if someone looked at me right now they'd think I'm sick, because I feel like crap and I bet it shows in my expression
