Shower Location

Where are your showers being held? My mom, sister and 2 BFs are hosting mine and I told them it could be in my house since we have a large sized basement. We moved a few months ago and most of my friends have not seen my house yet, so I figure this would also be a good opportunity and easier to pack up the gifts. Now I'm hearing the guest list has reached 50 since my mom has invited some ladies from her church. I envisioned this to just be a girlfriends shower and now I'm starting to worry about parking. and thinking we should move it to the club house in my subdivision (can hold up to a 100) since the invites haven't gone out yet.

My showers definitely won't be at my house. Cleaning and then recleaning afterward sounds like way too much work right now. My family shower will be at my aunt's, and my work shower will probably be at the house of the person throwing it. I'd go with the community room if you can!

Mine is being held at the restaurant of a private golf club. Not what I wanted at all, I really wanted something more casual. However I am very thankful my mom is willing to host a shower for me so if this is what she wants to do then so be it.

It sounds like a good idea to move to the club house.. I'm sure everyone won't be able to come but it seems like a lot of people for a basement and parking! Also you prob won't want to clean up at that point you'll want to go home and nap lol

Mine is at my dad and stepmom's... They live around the corner from me so it's perfect!

Mine is at a Irish restaurant in Madison.

When I was pregnant with my first my shower was held at a local Eagles club. Not the classiest place but it was free and spacious.

Mine is small - 25 guests at the most, so I think it is easier to splurge.  I would have been fine with a house shower, but my step-mom wants to do a brunch at a restaurant - less mess all around!

Mine is being hosted in one of the local churches. All the churches here are awesome about letting people hold events there even if you aren't affiliated with their congregation and none of the churches here charge a fee ... bonus!

There are 85(!!!!!) people invited to my shower so its at a country club. Gotta love irish catholic families!

I have 75 invited to mine & it's at this Hall where a scene from Dirty Dancing was filmed, so random I know.

Probably at my parents' house. I have no clue how many people will be invited... I gave my mom a list of my friends, and then she and my MIL are also inviting family and friends.

If you don't want to move the shower to the clubhouse maybe you can have people park at the clubhouse and then walk over to your house if it's not too bad of a walk.

That is very random! But I like it! lol. Mine is around 50 people and will be at a library, my mom rented out the conference room. I live in a small town so not too many options on venues but I am happy with it

Mine is in the clubhouse of my Aunt's neighborhood one of the hosts. It might be a good idea to move it there if you can. At least then it's big enough to feel like everyone can move around comfortably.

Mine is being held at the Clubhouse in my subdivision (ours can hold up to 90, but I'm expecting about 20 people to come).  There was talk about having it to my house, but it sounds like a lot of the out of town guests will be staying at my house so there is no way that is going to happen now. I definitely didn't want the stress of having out of town guests and the shower at the house.

For me it's walking distance, but I don't know if everyone will go for that - especially my mom's friends. Maybe we'll talk to the neighbors beforehand and let them know there will be extra cars on the street that day. It's only for a few hours anyway.

Hmmm maybe you can have the younger ppl park and walk over and save room for your moms friends to park closer to the house. If you direct most of the guests to park near the clubhouse it should work out. But normally if you tell the neighbors in advance unless they are super douche bags they shouldn't complain too much.
