I'm going to give birth to a horse.... all I want to do is eat apples!! Last pregnancy with GD was so easy because I craved grilled chicken. Apples... not really on the list of what I should eat all day.
They've had me taking my metformin this entire pregnancy so I failed my 1hr and 3 hr by a mere 2 points. I've been testing and haven't really had any major sugar issues with very little diet change. Luckily the apples aren't appearing to cause any major sugar spikes but I'm still guessing my dr would strangle me if she knew how many apples I eat a day.
Any other ladies with a non-GD Friendly craving?
Re: GD Diet Failure- Cravings
I splurge about 1x/week if my overall #s have been good and I'll allow myself to get a peppermint hot chocolate from starbucks for one of my snacks. I don't feel so bad about it since DD was measuring right at 40-50th percentile at the last U/S (even though I know these scans aren't very accurate).
im dieing for juice, soda and the days I don't have to count carbs.
Ocean Spray makes a drink packet similar to crystal light that rocks my world. I'm not big on giving juice to myself or my toddler so we drink the Ocean Spray- cranberry limeade mmmmm We also do a lot of crystal light drinks. Fresca is a good soda and I love the Diet Sierra Mist cranberry lime but that's a holiday seasonal drink and is probably gone by now. GL!
I have a lot of crystal light, my dietitian told me I could have Pepsi Max.
