Baby Names

Girl Names!

We are starting to narrow down.  We are trying to stay away from the really popular girl names but its hard to do!  Here is what we have.  Anne will be middle name since it has family significance on both sides.  We like the english, irish, gaelic origins best!

Scarlett Anne

Reese Anne

Blair Anne

Re: Girl Names!

  • How about Anne as a first name?  I don't like any of the three choices but Anne is beautiful and pretty underappreciated as a first name these days.

I like Scarlett the best!  I do like Blair, but I think when you have one syllable FNs and MNs together they tend to form one word.  Not that you would be saying just her FN and MN all the time, but Blair Anne runs together for me.

All of this! Not a fan of Reese.

  • Of the three, my favorite is Blair, but in terms of "flow" I think Scarlett sounds the nicest.

Edit-- I could have just dittoed Joy!

I hadn't really thought of that.  I think I tend to forget becuase my middle name is a family name so it was never used with my FN!  Thanks for the input ladies!

  • I like Scarlett and Reese the best. When I hear the name Blair, I think of:

    1. Blair Witch Project

    2. Blaring noise

    3. The meaning of the name is "plain"

  • Definitely Scarlett Anne
  • My vote is for Scarlett! I dislike Reese and I'm not a huge fan of Blair.

  • As a huge Gone With the Wind fan, I love Scarlett! I'm not brave enough to choose it for a name for my little girl (and DH would veto it anyway) but I've loved it since 6th grade.

Reese is also a name I like a lot, for a boy or a girl (although for a boy, I'm partial to the spelling Rhys).

  • Blair makes me think of the 80s.
    Facts of Life, anyone?

    I like Scarlett a lot!!!
  • Another vote for Scarlett Anne.
