This week in Praise: Praise for RachelSonnier, for God?s help in handling the wait so far, and also for the tax credit being included in the fiscal cliff deal. Special Prayer Requests Please pray for those waiting to bring their children home from Russia, and that something can be worked out for Russian adoptions in the future. Here is our Bible Verse for the week: Lamentations 3:22-23 ?It is because of the Lord?s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.? Here is our Question of the day: Do you have any New Year?s resolutions? I have a couple, drink more water, eat healthier, and to speak more kindly.

New Years Resolutions- Try and remain calm and positive for what lies ahead in our future. I try to remember that each day is a new beginning and I decide how I will view the world (positively or negatively). Easier to remember some days then others.

That's a good one, I like thinking of each day as a new beginning - hard sometimes definately, but worth it!

We could really use prayer for my mom. She has been living with us for five years trying to get well from a chronic illness. Things were looking up and we were hopeful to help move her out in January. The last few weeks have been frightening and I'm afraid not only to move her out, but also to leave her alone when I am at work. She is speaking slow, slurring her words, forgetting what day it is. It is a roller coaster though. One day she is perfect and driving herself to Sonic for a burger. The next day she is totally confused. Her doctor says it is all part of the brittle Addison's Disease she has and nothing really we can do. He suggests going through another round of tests with the neurologist, but we just did that six months ago and same answer. I have been praying for so long that I don't know what the prayer is honestly. I am worried she'll never get well. I am also worried that some of her strange habits will be hard to explain to our children. Please pray for some miracle healing, independence for her or if this truly is the future that me and DH will be able to better accept that she is with us to stay. She is only 51 years old so too young for the senior assisted living apts here, min age is 55. No one in the family to help.

Prayer request is for healthy people in our household.  R has been sick 3 times in the last three- four weeks, DH and I have both been sick 1 or twice each.  This is getting old!

 

New years resolution is to take better care of myself by eating better and making sure I exercise.

(( Hugs )) I'm so sorry. That is so insanely difficult, that has to be so hard for you and your DH. I will add this to our prayer requests, if you ever need to vent please feel free. That is so hard, and I'm so sorry that there is no other help. That's a lot to handle. Prayers for your mom and for you and your DH.

I definately get this one, we are in the same boat.  Between the 3 of us, one of us has been sick since 2 weeks before Christmas.  I thought we were done but then my DH got a stomach bug yesterday.  I agree, it gets old fast.
