Brinley is terrible. It's a made up mess and sounds forever like a baby's name, but not a grown adult.
However, if you really like it, please spell it Brinley. The other spellings (-ie or -ee) only intensify the little girl-y-ness of the name.
I found it on a baby name site, and I have recently been liking the name Brynn more and more...so I was just curious on opinions, so, yes, I want your thoughts. Thank you!
For the record, I love Bryn/Brynn...and I picture a lot of Brinley's going by Bryn/Brynn when they are a teen/adult for some reason. But I just can't stand the Brinley/Kinley/ Henley/Tenley/Wrenly
thing going on. It's like the girl version of the
Aiden/Braden/Caden/Drayden, etc trend.
Thanks for the feedback! I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. I didn't think about the age aspect before. I definitely can not picture a 35year old named Brinley. LOL

What Joy said. Brynn= Brinley=

If you do love it, maybe spelling it like Brynnlee.. That way she could be Brynn when she's older...? I personally love Brynn. Brinley isn't my style, but I am not opposed to it.

Aw, thanks for not hating me :-)
I do like Brynn on its own!!
Ditto Joy on both counts! If you're attached to the sound of Brinley, maybe Brynn with Lee/Leigh as a middle name?
I agree with most of the other PPs - this is a very trendy, very little-girlish name that will seem dated in a couple of years. It is one of the cutesy ones that makes me, unfortunately, think the parents are ignorant. Sorry, just being honest about what my immediate thoughts are upon hearing the name.
I really would suggest Bryn/Brynn over Brinley but if you really love it with "lee" sound at the end, spell it Brinley.

I'm sorry OP... but this. How about Brynn?

YES! I hadn't thought of it that way, but it is so true. These days "ley" is slapped on the end of anything. I'm waiting to hear of girls named Penley, Jenley, Zenley (or Xenley for those really kre8tyve parents...). All of them are equally ridiculous in my opinion.

In general, I think Brinley is a pretty name. BUT I do agree with some of the PPs, in that it sounds a bit young. Cute when she's little, but a little too cutsie when she gets older (think 40+). I also prefer the first spelling to the alternate two.

I agree. The first thing I thought was terrible and made up. But if you do like it then spell it Brinley

I like this idea. I think Brinley is bad...reminds me of Brinkley, which sounds like a dog. Brynn is NMS, but far better.
Ditto. Hate it. Other suggestions:
Brenna, Brynn, Elin (e-lin), Leah

Its really not my style at all, but if I had to use it I would consider these spellings
Brinley
Brynlie
It's too cutesy...
It falls into the Kinley/Kinsley/Tinley awfulness. Way too ridiculous sounding.

Brynn is a lot better than Brinley.
Generally, I hate it.
Brinley is the best spelling, IMO.
Brynlee is bad, but Brynlie is even worse!
