It's fine. One of the regs has a dd named Adair. I don't honestly see how this would get mispronounced often. It doesn't have have all that much teasing potential, not like naming your kid Dlck Power or something.
I love Adair, but Louis Adair *sounds* better. That being said MH is named Alastair, which comes from Alasdair, so I'm partial to names that sound that way.

I love Alasdair!
OP, my DD is Adair though I realize it is technically a masculine name. I know of two other female adult Adairs and one male. I think it works for either. I do love Louis Adair.
Forgot to add, we've had very little issue with people mispronouncing it.
I really don't like using Adair for a first name. This is a surname that doesn't need to become a first name. That's just my opinion. If you love it then go with it! I like it better than Diesel!
Re: Adair
I prefer Louis Adair...
do you like Adair for religious or cultural reasons?
if not I would strongly say no - teasing will happen and his name will be spelled wrong and pronounced incorrectly for his whole life.Agree with pp Louis Adair sounds better.
I also prefer Louis Adair.
I love Alasdair!
