question about charting...

one, can i use a regular thermometer to temp or do i need a special one? FF says a special one... i saw one at cvs but thought i could use the one i have at home...

  • Most women use a BBT thermometer.  It will say it on the package.  I use a Mabis, from Walmart.

    You can use a normal one but some ladies see a better shift in their temp using a Basal Body Thermometer that reads out to .01 degrees. I started with a regular thermometer and would see a shift with no problem.

    Same for me - I use a regular one and can always see a very clear shift.

  • Ditto. I use a Mabis from WalMart. I think it gives me a more accurate picture on my chart of whats happening in my cycle.
