Cake smashing wardrobe

If you did a smash cake what did LO wear? DD's birthday is in a few weeks and I can't decide if we should do a wardrobe change, just strip her down to her diaper cover, or just leave her in her dress...wdyd?

  • We put ds in overalls then stripped him down for the cake shots at the end. We brought a cloth diaper but the photographer had diaper covers.

  • He wore a 1st birthday shirt and jeans, no socks so he got frosting on his little toes. :)

  • We did it in a pink cloth diaper.
  • I changed her out of her dress and into the short sleeved "BIrthday Girl" onesie from Carter's and a yellow tutu.

  • She was wearing a custom made shirt and tutu.  We stripped her down to just a diaper and then straight to a bath after.

  • All 3 kids wore the same long, plastic first birthday bib that I put over the party clothes. Some frosting got on the clothing. I just threw the clothes in a bowl of milk overnight. It takes the dye out. NBD

  • DS's birthday was Dr Seuss themed. I found 2 different Tshirts with the Cat in the Hat on them for like $5 each, so I just had him wear 1 at the beginning of the party, and then changed his Tshirt after the cake.
