Trouble TTC

Hello!!! (child mentioned)

I have been lurking for a few weeks now, and have also read the new to the board, more than once, and figured now would be a good time to introduce myself.

I'm Kristi, I'm 24, and DH and I just got married on 12-12-12, after being together for 3 and a 1/2 years. We have a 2 year old diva, who has been called our miracle.  I was recently diagnosed with PCOS by my OB and referred to a RE. Our first appointment with her is on 1/8.

We have had an early loss, a blighted ovum, and a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks this past summer. After that, we went back to the OB where he ran  tests and gave me the PCOS diagnosis.

I'm looking forward to having a place to vent to about this. A lot of our family and friends do not know we are going through with the RE, since they believe we should not have a problem getting pregnant again, since we already have one healthy baby.

  • Hi, I am sorry for your loss :(

A few questions though.. how long have you been TTC? Has your husband had a SA, have you had an HSG? I am unsure as to why your seeing an RE at this point and you didn't give much information on time frames etc on how long and the actual testing you had. Can you please provide some additional info?

Also, its customary on this board to use a siggy warning or a child warning when speaking of another child you have in your post. All of us are TTC are first child and some days are better than others when it comes to this process. We would like the option to skip over your post. Can you edit. Thanks

She had three losses. It's not that uncommon to see a specialist after multiple losses. If she's referring to her daughter as a "miracle," I'm guessing she may have had trouble conceiving her first, and women who have trouble with #1 sometimes go straight to an RE for #2, depending on issues.
