Moms of 2+, a silly bottle question

I have all of DS's old bottle and nipples - is it okay to use them with LO#2?  Did anyone do this? I feel kind of icky about it, but the rational part of me thinks a thorough cleaning and they'll be fine. He wasn't a chewer and they are in good condition.

Did anyone else reuse bottles/nipples?  Or should I just invest in some new ones?

I couldn't reuse nipples since my son chewed them up but definitely reused bottles. I don't think it's icky to reuse anything that's in good condition.

I don't know why I'm thinking it's icky - I mean, DH and I use the same glasses/dishes/flatware all the time.

I just needed to hear that someone else did it too

I'd buy new nipples but keep the bottles.

Only reason I bought new ones was that DD2 refused to drink out of the ones DD1 used.

Us too.  Tried to intro the Dr. Browns from DS and DD refused.  Finally we tried a Tommee and she was all about it.  Dang picky girl!  (otherwise yes, I would have used the same old bottles but new nipples)

Bottles - yes.  Nipples - no.  Most manufacturers recommend changing the nipples about every 3 or 4 months anyway.  Unless there is visible damage to your bottles, you should be fine.

We used drop ins. As she progressed through the different nipple stages I pitched them. They got kinda gross after a while anyway.
