Trouble TTC

Advice please

My husband and I have been ttc since June 2010. I had lap surgery nov 2011 and the dr found extensive endo on my right side. She told me he could no longer help me and I would need to see a re.
Well we finally decided to do it and have an appt on jan 28th. I am overwhelmed with conflicting emotions. Can you guys help explain what I should expect from this first appt?
