Chronic hypertension

Hi! I haven't posted over here yet, but with my age weight BP combo, I'm sure I will. In the meantime, I have a question for any HBP ladies. I have noticed in the past week my BP has started to creep back up. I currently take Aldomet 250mg twice a day. I have been getting readings around 142 84. Is anyone taking higher doses of Aldomet? Should I call my doc or wait until our appointment on the 8th? TIA

I was taking 500mg twice a day till I got it under control. 500mg tabs made me sick, I couldn't drive I was so out of it, clammy and just loopy. Aldomet is the only thing I can take due to Asthma, Labatol triggers Asthmas attacks.

keep tracking your readings. My dr gave me some med to take with the 250mg for a bit due to the 500mg affects. I'll see if I can find it. Try to keep calm or stay away from stress.

Thank you. I know my diet was less than stellar over the holiday, but I haven't gained anything yet. I would love to have the name of the other med if you can find it, just to be prepared in case I can't get this back to where it needs to be.
