How do your kids sleep?

My kids scare the heck out of me!

DS is somewhat of a dare devil and that's bad enough but he liked to be snuggled up to blankets, etc for sleeping and still does at six.  I still check on him and find blankets covering his head...

And it appears that DD is digging it too! I'm sitting here next to her and she has this puppet covering most of her face and she's ramming it into her face. She doesn't want to eat but she does look like she could fall asleep.  We noticed this a few days ago to with a blanket when she was snuggling with DH.

I wonder if its partially from sleeping in the bouncy seat and mamaroo and being all cozy to sleep.

  • And DD is not allowed toys and such during naps and bed...just while being watched...

  • Our kids sound similar.  DS1 would literally sleep with 10 blankets on him, over his head if I let him.  (He's 7.)  DS2 loves to have a fleece blanket rubbed on his cheek while he's falling asleep.  I of course don't let him sleep unattended like that, but boy does he love it!

  • My daughter loves to burrow and rub her face on things. Of course I don't let her have anything in her crib while she's sleeping at night but I do let her have a blanket while she's in her rock and play napping and I'm watching her, she's so cute all snuggled up and cozy! :)
  • Yup DS scares the crap out of me. He can't roll back to belly yet but he will literally crane his neck all the way over to the side and smash his face into the pnp mattress. Ill hear him snorting and immediately know what he's doing.

He is desperately trying to roll back to belly I think it's uncomfortable for him to sleep on his back and he'd prefer side or belly. He does it pretty much every night so I'm continuously stressed over it

K just got a security blanket/teddy bear for Christmas and she always drags it over her face. I have to pry it away from her when she falls asleep during the day. I am really hoping she doesn't decide one day that she can't sleep without it.

Just from experience, go out and buy 2 or 3 more of the exact same thing if she becomes attached to it. It will save your arse one day.

  • Not only buy multiples but rotate them so they get equal wear!

Plow pets, blankies, and all... She's 2 but loves her comfy lovies. She finally let me take the excess out an sleeps with her 3 blankets, tigger, and one pillowpet now.
DS is a belly and blankie sleeper. But doesn't really like to be too warm so sometimes wakes up fussing to have the blankets taken off.
