Trouble TTC

Anyone want to hop on the pity train with me? (N3TR...kinda)

Anyone want to join me? I have fire crackers and wine!

This month has been absolutely dreadful for the hubs and I. First my car broke down, so we were stuck with one car for a week with two full time jobs. Bleh. Then, hubs car broke down (its an old Jeep) and it is going to cost too much to fix, so now we have to buy him a new car, and this time luckily my parents are letting us borrow my mom's summer car (she drives a 4wd truck in the winter, car in the summer...Wisconsin winter...you know). Add insane out of state taxes for working in MN and living in WI that we have to pay in the next couple of months, RE bills, script bills (completely OOP for IF meds) , bleh. Our poor bank account. Ok. I just needed to get that out. Tequila shots, anyone?!

  • Sucks, so sorry.  I'll drink with ya!  I feel like it's been one thing after another for us too.  Just a little bit ago DH called...yesterday a lady backed into his car in the parking lot (and his car is like his precious baby).  She gave him her insurance info and of course he calls today and the insurance company said there "might be an issue with her insurance" and they will get back to us.  Awesome. This is just one of many things lately (and I just did a "vent post" above).  IF can kiss it!!

  • I'm joining you for the wine - that and b/c my parents live in WI and I always feel a connection when people say they are from WI.  I'm in a bit of pity party mode myself - this is my first Christmas away from my parents and I am laid up in bed with a stupid knee that won't work! I'm allergic to tequila, but I'll take a huge, over poured glass of wine!

In all seriousness - I'm sorry you're having a rough go at it this month! Hang in there!

  • I'm with you. We have had numerous expensive house upgrades/repairs to pay for, plus our one and only car broke down last week. Getting to and from work is not a problem (we have wonderful public transportation), but all of the "little things" are becoming a pain (going to get dog food, a trip to the store b/c my thermometer stopped working, groceries, etc.). Of course it's taking them forever to get the car fixed because of the holidays. I will be excited to finally get it back! Good luck and cheers!
