Resolutions

Anyone making resolutions this year? I usually don't but there are several things I want to acheive:

have sex with DH

get below prepregnancy weight ( i was finally cleared to exercise yay!)

develop and present a workshop at a conference in October

continue to BF after going back to work

spend more time helping SIL with special needs

Re: Resolutions

  • - Breastfeed for a year. EBF as long as possible - would love 6 months but may be hard with my new job.

    - Every work day spend at least an hour with the baby and husband completely unplugged and just enjoying (or terrorizing) each other

    - Date nights with husband at least once a month

    - Use BLW as a way to get the whole family healthier - and hopefully lose a little chub in the process

    - Be on the Internet way less at my new job (sorry guys!)

  • I wasn't going to make resolutions originally because I never keep them, but I think I can keep these, or at least make a valiant attempt.

     

    1- breast feed at least a year, EBF as long as I can, until we introduce purees

    2- make all of his purees myself. 

    3- DTD more than once every 3 months...

    4- limit going out to eat and/or takeout to once a week or every 2 weeks and cook healthy the rest of the nights.

    Same, and for the same reasons.  I'd like to EBF for a year, but honestly, if it gets to be too much stress (I'd be working the night shift, which means I'd have to go back to getting up every few hours during my sleep time), then I'll just supplement during my sleep time.  Then once I hit a year, I hope to stop any formula and keep BFing as long as I can.

    -Get back into school and apply to Nursing school by next fall.

  • excersise regularly, find a babysitter that isnt our family so DH and I can have Date minght more often, eat out less. stick to budget more (i've been slipping this last 2 years) Have dd watch less tv, and of course lose weight.

  • I usually hate making resolutions, but here's to a better me in 2013.

    - continue BF'ing to at least 6 months, try to make it a year

    - take more pictures and videos of both boys

    - take the time to appreciate what DH does for our family

    - spend at least one day a month spending quality time with DS1. At age 7 he's pretty self sufficient, so it's easy to just let him be and spend my time taking care of DS2.  But this weekend was a reminder that DS1 will be all grown up before I know it, so I need to spend lots of QT with him while I still can.

  • I'll play too! Mine are very similar to others:

    Breastfeed DD until at least a year. That's how long I bf DS too and I'd like to do the same for DD.

    Loose the baby weight from both pregnancies. Get back to pre DS1 pregnancy weight!

    Along with my second resolution, I want to eat healthier and drink more water.

    Start running again.

    Make some new friends. DH and I just moved here last year and I've only met some mommy friends who we have play dates with...no one I've had a "girls night" with...so, I'd like to.

    Start grad school.

  • 1...workout MF on my lunch break.

    2...love my life.

    3...not let motherhood withdraw me from the activities I enjoyed prepreg. For example, I indoor rock climbed with my d.i.n.k friend every week in the fall/winter before getting pregnant. Obviosly, I cant do it weekly but Id still like to do it occasionally.

  • EBF as long as possible, preferably until DS2 self weans.

    Get to goal weight by DS2's first birthday.

    Be happier and healthier.

    Get a teaching job for next school year.

    Run a half marathon.
