Normally B loves daycare, but this morning he started crying and running away when I talked about putting on his coat to go to school. After much agony and frustration on both our parts I finally figured out that he didn't want to go to daycare today because he knows that Santa is going to be there. It was ridiculous and a little heartbreaking all at the same time.

His school goes from 6 weeks to 1st grade. They bring a Santa into the common area and then each class has a chance to visit. They do it on a different day from the class holiday parties. I'm curious to talk to his teacher at pickup and see how the class did.

I'm gonna PnR but I wanted to update -
When the teacher came into the classroom to ask who wanted to go see Santa, B stood up and loudly declared, "NO SANTA!" So he stayed behind, but most of the other kids went. He was actually freaked out about it for most of the day. He's transitioning to the 2's class, but they didn't take him for his daily visit because he would have had to walk by the area where Santa was.
After his teachers told him that Santa left, he didn't want to go outside because he thought Santa would be there. They had to tell him that Santa had gone home to the North Pole to go to sleep before he would go outside. My poor guy.
But he's still sure that Santa is bringing him a choo-choo train, lol.
