How much does FET cost?

I'm curious. Hopefully I won't need to know but I'd just like to be prepared. I'm going to CCRM but just a ballpark would be nice. I've read anywhere from $2,000-10,000.

Re: How much does FET cost?

  • Every clinic is different and it also depends on what meds you need and if your insurance covers any of it. I think between the drs fees and meds a FET runs me like 7k.

  • I'm at CC.RM too.  I haven't done a FET, but we got the price list from the business office when we started our fresh cycle.  The price without medication (RE, nurses, embryology, bloodwork, etc.) was something like $5-6K.  If you email or call the business person, they will give you the exact package price and breakdown.  Hopefully you won't need it!!

  • For my FET at my RE, it's $4,000 for the FET alone.  Then it was another $2000-$3000 for meds.  So total it was around $7000 for my FET cycle.
2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".
    IVF #1: ER 03/29/10; ET 04/01/10: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 (9dp3dt)- 45; Beta #2 (11dp3dt)- 91= BFP
    FET#1: ET 04/18/12: transferred 4 embies; Beta #1: >2 = BFN
    IVF #2: ER 06/20/12; ET 6/25/12: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 on 7/5/12= BFN
    8/16: hysteroscopy for polyp removal
11/11: hysteroscopy #2 for yet another polyp removal
    FET#2: ET 12/15/12: transferred 3 embies; Beta #1 (9dp5dt): 12/24/12: 426; Beta #2 (11dp5dt): 845= BFP
u/s 1/9= triplets!; miscarried all three on 1/10/13...

  • Ours is $4030 for the FET which includes the SHG, mock transfer, and monitoring. Meds are extra but are about 400 dollars more. Each clinic varies, but this is what it will be for us.

ETA: I could be wrong, but if you are going to CCRM I bet they will be more than the average clinic. They are one of the more elite REs in the US, and when I was investigating IVF, they appeared to cost more than everyone else. They have success to back up their prices though!
