I was lurking on GP on TN and somebody brought up a good question.
Is anybody sending a card, gift or holiday treat to their RE's office?
I always knew that when I get pregnant, or if I choice to leave CF, I would bake them something as a thank you. It never crossed my mind to send anything for Christmas.
ETA: I was thinking more for the office staff then my actual RE.
.

This. I've only seen my new RE once, so I don't know the office that well. If it was someone I had been going to for awhile, I would probably take some cookies. I think it's a nice gesture if it feels right to you.

I don't see an RE yet, but I want to play. I'm on Team Scrooge. The only people I buy (or make) presents for are my family and a couple of my friends. I bake cookies for alot of my extended family.
I do not give money or presents, not even cookies, to people who are paid to perform a job or service for me. Is it nice that some people tip the mail carrier or garbage collector? Yes. That's nice and I give those people a gold star. But the mail carrier and garbage collector probably get paid more than me so I can't rationalize paying them more to do a job they already get paid for.
And I think it's weird to give a doctor a present. They already probably make 6 figures and don't need something from me. They are paid to do a job. But I have been accused by my H as being a tightwad and a cheapskate, so take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks for clarifying. I do think it makes more sense to get cookies or something small that the office staff could enjoy if you feel like you really wanted to do something for them. I don't have that relationship with any office staff (not seeing RE yet) so I might feel like you especially if they're really sweet. I'm such a Scrooge with people I'm not related to, though. Sometimes I wish I had more holiday cheer with stuff like that, but then I look at my bank account. LOL.
I don't think it does.

PAIF/SAIF welcome!
I don't know about that - when I saw my RE at a work event (can we say awkward bc he couldn't remember me and kept failing at placing when he last saw me) he made a joke with me about drinking beer (which I don't drink thanks be being allergic to hops - so unfortunate, especially for a German from Oregon). I withheld making a comment back, but seriously thought about saying, "As long as there is some Jameson, I'm game".
I won't be getting them anything. I have had no success yet and won't be going back there this year - also haven't seen my RE since September...

This is a great question - I love my RE and really love the staff so now I definitely want to do something for them!! They have made everything I'm going through so much easier with hugs when I need them. I feel like I got really lucky with the office I'm going to.
Now, what will I take them? Hmmm...
