DH set up our swing yesterday (the Graco Lovin' Hug Plug-In Infant Swing - Capri) and turned it on. We were really unhappy to hear that it made a loud clicking noise with every swing. I imagine that'd get annoying very quickly!
We're thinking about exchanging it for another of the same kind, as we really like that it plugs in, but we're concerned that the next one may just click, too, so we're considering returning it and getting a new model.
Any suggestions for swings that DON'T click? (It'd be great if they plugged in, but that Graco was the only plug-in one I found on my search, so I'm not holding my breath for that.)
Re: Swings that don't click?
We have the Fisher Price snugabunny and it doesn't click. It's a plug-in and I believe there are a few other Fisher Price models that plug in. You can use the Snugabunny with batteries, too, but we don't.
I don't know what yours looks like but do you have the legs spread far enough apart? Our cleaning lady moves ours to mop and I always have to adjust the legs afterwards because it does make a noise if the legs aren't positioned correctly.

I think I have the same swing.
Mine doesn't click when it swings, just when it's on [i'm assuming the motor] makes a noise. My husband said it's suppose to. but I don't know about that.
I tried it with a few books in there, and it actually made it worse.
