They don't get it do they? My mum went and took DS for his first pool swim without me. Luckily I found out and got there in time but I was livid. I've been waiting for 6 months to get back home to do this and she tries to muscle in! I'm sorry about the haircut. At least you have another child and didn't miss out the first time right? I only have 1 and probably won't have another.

OMG.  What was she thinking?!  My grandma took my sister and got her hair chopped really short when she was about 6, without asking my parents.  She just showed up and told them, "Look, she has a Dorothy Hamill cut now!  Isn't it cute?"  They were not pleased.

At least when my mum took DS off to the pool DH alerted me and jumped on the idea. As he put it "She's been waiting for this for 6 months, you can't just take over". Gutsy to a MIL you want to have smooth relations with. Onya DH!
