I hope that I instill the same beliefs into Natalie as this writer. I think it is so true that even if the schools can't discuss gay marriage, the kids will learn about it. It is inevitable that our kids will go to school with a family that is different than ours, maybe with two mommy's or two daddy's or who know what else. I hope that when the time comes for me to explain to Natalie why those families are "different" than ours that she just gets it and it isn't an issue at all,( I think it's only an issue when you make it an issue) I can only hope that by the time she is in school those families are recgonized by the state as what they are FAMILIES. Pure and simple.
