Trying to justify my Arby's craving...

With myself isn't going over so well. Lol 

im sure I've gained at least 2 pounds... I just can't stop getting their ham melts! I mean, how bad could ham on a bun, with cheese actually be? ... Regardless I can't justify 3/ week...I just can't stomach my usual healthy salad for lunch. I try really hard, but my will power sucks. How are you going against your cravings?

  • I have more aversions than cravings this go round.  Last time I gave in.  A pregnancy craving is a powerful thing!!  Last night I wanted Mexican.....and not just any Mexican food.  It had to be across town.  I drove across town after 7pm on a Sunday (so unlike me) to get what I wanted and man was it good!  Not sure I could cave 3x a week money-wise.... it was like 11 bucks! lol  

    Could you make hot ham and cheese melts yourself at home?  It may be healthier....

  • I'm trying to hold out on Wendy's.  I've decided to limit to once a month.  One just opened near my house, and i've been at least 3-4 times this month.  No more!  We'll see how long that lasts.

    Theyre only $1, and its only been this week. Lol I tried to make them at home, but for some reason it isn't the same...I just try to fill up on water, and fruit when cravings hit, but this week it hasn't worked.

    Right now I'm giving into a lot of my cravings...I've been eating a lot of burgers! My NP said that the first trimester is a lot about survival..because you get nauseaus and sick, eating what you can is what is important. I've eaten pretty crappy lately and I hopped on the scale today and haven't gained a pound! I'm not snacking in between meals and I'm only eating when I'm hungry so I think that's the main reason why. I figure once my aversions subside I can eat healthier! 

    mi really hope to start eating healthier. I guess I don't eat THAT bad, it's just my cravings are junk food. Like honey buns, zebra cakes, and anything greasy. I feel disgusting sometimes. Haha I am also too scared to get on a scale.

    oh my gosh. Wendy's. there is one right next to e bank I have to go to nightly to drop the deposit off for work, and it's SO hard not to pull in and get a $0.99 chicken sandwich.

  • Um...I'm prob the wrong person to ask BUT I say eat it :).  I have been giving into my cravings quite a bit.  I've gained 3lbs so far...which for how much I'm eating I'm surprised it isn't more-but I say once I stop feeling so sick to my stomach- then maybe I'll cut back.  I wanted subway today- I got it.  This weekend we had dominos and pizza hut. (haven't had those in ages) LOL I know prob not good- but I do better during the week, so that's good, right?

    yes! I'm going to just say screw it, and stop feeling guilty about it. I hope once 2nd tri comes around, I can slow down and eat more sensibly. I just want to stuff my face when I don't feel like throwing up everywhere.lol

  • That's funny. Arby's is one of my only major food aversions. I saw so many commercials while sick that thinking of it makes me feel sick. Lol.

  • Well if they're only a dollar, carry on girl!!!  At least until you start craving something else.....and you may.  I loved hummus at the beginning of my last pregnancy and hated it during second tri...loved it again in third.  Enjoy!

     I HAD to have a beef & chedder two weeks ago!   I drove out of my way to go to an Arby's after a doctors appointment :)   Today....  I couldn't even open the fridge to make my lunch due to sever morning sickness this morning..  We had a birthday celebration at lunch time for a coworker, and everyone was talking about pizza.   I ended up going to get a piece of pizza for lunch.  I figure caving into cravings once every two weeks won't be that bad overall...

  • I am feeling much more normal after reading this...I have been craving Arby's roast beef for two weeks now...finally my husband gave in and took me there on the way home from church last night!! My husband thinks that I should just be able to forget about my cravings like he can on a normal diet!!

  • I wish I had cravings. I'm having aversion to pretty much everything and have no idea if I will actually like something until it's in front of my face! However, when I do (in the rare occasion so far) get a craving, I just think about whether or not I would want my baby eating that. Most times the answer is no, so I won't get it. I just don't like to use being pregnant as an excuse to eat crap and gain unnecessary weight.
