i need play date idea pls....

tomorrow i have "plans" with another mom and her daughter (19mos) to meet up and do something. i do not see this mom often, and we live an hour away from each other, otherwise i would just suggest she come over my house. so we planned to meet at a half way point (in our city) .i have no idea what to do with our kids! we need some kind of activity...  there are not any good parks near where we will be, and we will be meeting after lunch so food is out. any other ideas? what do you guys do? i thought about the childrens museum, but its freaking closed on mondays. grrr i hate last minute things. any suggestions? thanks!

A mall play area? I'm not a huge fan of them, but in the absence of other options, that's where we go.
