Finally feeling a sense of peace...

Hi everyone, hope everyone is having a fast Monday.  I just got back from my appointment with the RE and we have all the info we need if we decide to pursue IVF. She also suggested that if we want to do another IUI cycle we can and then we are going to see her in a month for a follow up and decide for sure what we are doing after that. I wasn't sure if I could emotionally handle another failed IUI cycle but you know what...how do I know it will fail? We could get lucky and we could even get lucky naturally.

The RE also told us that their office offers frozen IVF cycles are free because they considered "experimental" and the chances are the same with frozen or not.That definitely opened our eyes! We could try it and let's just say it didnt work we would have the funds to do IVF again regularly. 

Today I realized who cares who we know is having kids before us? It will happen for us and if it's in the new year then so be it! When we have our turn then we feel all the joy around us. I am sick and tired of letting this depress me, and consume me. I want to be happy. I don't want to live miserably. DH is so proud of me and I think I'm finally starting to feel mentally healthy And I feel great about it. 

THIS is the meaning of "Stay Positive"!

So, in closing I say to all you ladies not to "stay positive" but to stay STRONG and HEATHLY! 

I know I will have more difficult days but It is a start.

    Glad your able to embrace a positive attitude, it can be difficult to stay optimistic when dealing with IF. I'm attending my first infertility support group tonight in hopes of learning some ways to get healthy while dealing with something so mentally draining. Keep up the good vibes!

    That's awesome that you're feeling peace and some positivity after your appt. Thanks for the encouragement today. It was greatly needed. Stay strong, too!

    thanks for posting. i definitely needed the reminder. being positive is really hard for me when it seems like it's happening everywhere and to everyone BUT me... sometimes all i need is a new perspective. good luck to you! i hope 2013 is your year!! 
    trying for #1 since May 2012... we're adopting! bringing home baby boy in january 2015!

    Me: 30, PCOS with anovulation
    DH: 38, Low Morph & DE
    Rx: Metformin 500mg

    Cycle #1: Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel = No Response, Canceled
    Cycle #2: Clomid 150mg + Ovidrel = No Response, Canceled
    Cycle #3: Clomid 150mg + Follistim + Ovidrel = No response, Canceled

    Cycle #4: Femara 7.5mg + Gonal-f + Ovidrel + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Well said! Best of luck in whatever you decide. I think I've got to re-read this post at least 12 times next time I feel a funk coming on!
    Actively TTC since 01/11
    Me: 06/12 Dx w/ IR PCOS (rx 2000 metformin) DH: SA all clear; looking good
    06/12-10/12- Clomid/Femara + trigger + TI + P4 = 3 BFNs, hysteroscopy, polypectomy, D&C
    11/12 - 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI + P4 = BFN
    12/12 - Surprise BFP ectopic (MTX 01/13)
    04/13 - Off the Bench! 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI #2 + estradiol + P4 = BFN
    05/13 Clear HSG-5 mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + IUI #3 + P4 = BFP ectopic (MTX 07/03 & 07/11)
    07/23 emergency lap to remove ectopic mass and left tube
    10/13 5mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + TI(follie on left/no IUI)=BFN
    11/13 Same as above but BFP!
