What are their names? Stella and Stan, Rinaldo and Janet

Were you close to them growing up? I was very close to my dad's parents, and pretty close to my mom's mom, but not super close to her dad (they were divorced)

Do you still have living grandparents? I do, both of my grandmothers are still alive. Stella is 87 and lives in a nursing home now, but Janet is only 75 and doing well. She was only 16 when she had my mom, so that is why she is so young. (And my mom was her second!). My grandfathers died when I was in my 20s. 

Anyone know their great-grandparents?  I knew both of my mom's grandmothers. They were both alive until I was 20. I was very lucky.

What are their names? Dads side -Mary and Bert, moms side William and Miriam

Were you close to them growing up? I wasn't close to either side. My grandpa on my dads side died when I was young so I have no memories, my dads mom got Alzheimer's and I remember having to visit her in the nursing home and she wouldn't know who we were. My moms dad used to chase us with his false teeth out and my moms mom became very mean and opinionated the older she got. I remember she called me fat after I just gave birth to Aidan.

Do you still have living grandparents? No. We buried my moms mom this summer. I still remember seeing her lying in the casket. It didn't look like her, she looked frail, extremely thin. She died at 97. She pretty much starved herself to death because she was in a lot of pain.

What are their names? Reyes and Natividad, Hermelinda and Francisco
Were you close to them growing up? I never met neither of the grandpas died. One grandma I wasn't too close to her the other lives in Mexico and I haven't seen her since I was a baby.
Do you still have living grandparents? One grandmothers and she's in Mexico nbsp;
Anyone know their greatgrandparents? Nope nbsp;nbsp;

What are their names? Gertrude Alice, she goes by her middle name, and she's married to Fred. Then there's Doug, who's married to Brenda.
On my dad's side, there's Jerry and Barb.

Were you close to them growing up? Alice and Fred, yes. I spent every weekend with them growing up. Doug and Brenda lived 4 hours away, and only came around once a year, if that.
Jerry and Barb, I was close to until I was about 6, and then they just lost touch with us.

Do you still have living grandparents? All of them.

Anyone know their great-grandparents? No, my great grandpa died at 40, and my great grandma died 2 years before I was born.
The other side greats, I'm not sure about.

My son is very close with my grandma and grandpa, which I love, because he gets to really know his great grandparents
