How Soon Did You Find Out Their Sexes?

We have our next MFM appt. next Monday on the 17th. I will be 15w/5d and I am hoping to find out their sexes.  Have any of you found out the sex via ultrasound that early on?  We were hoping to find out before Christmas, but I'm not sure how likely it is.

We were told at 16 weeks, they were boys so it was pretty obvious but our MFM doctor told us not to go buy all blue yet, they confirmed at 18 weeks and then again finally at 20 weeks that they were in fact boys.  Good luck and so exciting!

I found out at 19w at the A/S.  I would take that as a prediction at 15w5d.  Don't start shopping just yet

At 16w, we were told B/G, but our 20w ultrasound revealed a little something extra on Baby B! We were all team blue. Our MFM later said she will never confirm genders before 20w.

My girls were not too cooperative. Found out at 19 weeks and then 21 weeks for Baby B.

We went to an outside (vanity) ultrasound place at 14 weeks, 5 days and they told us the sexes and said they were 80% sure. They told us to come back for confirmation in two weeks, but their initial predictions were correct. I had a friend who went in at 15 weeks though and they told her it was a boy but it ended up being a girl.

I'm so glad you asked this because we'll have an ultrasound right around that time too!  I'm dying to find out even though its only a prediction.  Hopefully they cooperate or at least one cooperates.

We were told with good certainty that they were both boys at 15w1d. I was skeptical but sure enough at 17w4d they were still boys!

18w6d. They didn't even bother looking prior to that. GL!

The u/s tech at my RE's office told me not to tell the doctor but she could tell what Baby B was at 10 weeks with ~90% confidence if I wanted to know... she said she doesn't like to say 100% unless she can see both parts of the male sex organ and at 10 weeks you can only see one.

At my MFM's office they told me they thought my twins were Mo/Di at my ~ 13w u/s so DH and I thought they were most likely both boys, and it was confirmed at my ~ 17w u/s that they were both boys.  At every u/s since, my boys have been showing off so the u/s techs always mention/show me the sex when they are taking other measurements.

I think it all just depends on the u/s tech's experience and your office/doctor's preferences/policies if they'll tell you.  To be honest, I think they can get pretty good at telling sex early on, but I'd consider anything before ~ 18w a guess though.

We were 15w 3d - told boys at that appointment, and confirmed at every scan since.

Guesses at 13w during the NT scan, confirmed at 15w5d and every scan after!

We found out that one of the babies was 99% a girl at my 16 week appointment, but the other baby we did not find out till the 20 week appointment.Also a girl.

@ 13 wks, u/s tech guessed that baby B was a boy (she was right)! @ 16 wks, we had confirmation of both. My Ob offers an optional $75 scan @ 17+. Weeks to determine gender.

14w we found out we were team blue! It would have been hard to miss, they were not shy!

You can definately find out at 15 weeks 5 days. I found out at 14 weeks.

I found out a little after 18 weeks at my a/s.  I actually had an u/s at 15w and was hoping to find out, but my MFM is very strict and would not make a guess that early.  Try not to get your hopes up so you are not disappointed like I was if they won't tell you!  I was so sad!

14 weeks.  The tech was 100% sure about one and 90% sure about the other (he had his legs up and crossed, wouldn't show the goods!).  We found out 2 weeks later she was right about both.  How exciting for you!  Good luck!
