How much should my 1 month old preemie eat?

My LO was born 5 weeks early and is 1 month old today. He recently started taking around 3 - 4 oz per feeding. Is this too much for him? He is around 7lbs 5oz. and was 6lbs at birth.

My DD was 5 weeks early and is now a month old. She weighs 7.2 and takes around 3.5-4oz

My boys were 6 weeks early and 1.5 months now. They weigh 7.5lbs and take 3-4 oz. I think you should let him eat as much as he wants as long as he is not puking or spitting up excessively.

Sounds pretty similar to my LO at the same age.

I agree, I'd call your pediatrician.  However, it doesn't sound like too much.  My DD was born 8 weeks early (at 4 lbs 9 oz) and is now 6 weeks old and she eats about 2.5 oz each meal -- sometimes 3! Each feeding will be different, we are just feeding on-demand but it's still usually every 3 to 4 hours
