leg pain/soreness

For the past 10 days or so, I've had pain/soreness in both of my legs. It makes the transitions from sitting to standing & vice versa quite painful. [In fact, I'm apparently moving so slowly (or obviously with discomfort), that the person who drives for my vanpool asked me this morning if I was okay.] It reminds me of how my legs would feel the day after a really tough workout or run... only it has just continued day after day.  I will be calling my OB's office yet this morning, but I'm wondering if others of you have experienced this or have any thoughts... Is this a typical symptom, because my body is going through many changes?  Thanks for your insights!

Re: leg pain/soreness

  • Not sure how far along you are, but I started experiencing leg soreness last week.  I think I overdid it and/or wore shoes that didn't have good support.  I've been laying down more and wearing my running shoes instead of my Toms and it's helped a lot.  It's always good to check with your OB though.  What did they say?

I'm 20 weeks.  The nurse said it sounded like normal aches/pains and that I should increase my fluid intake. I'm refilling my 24 oz. water bottle several times each day already -- and worried I may have to move my desk to the bathroom if I drink too much more, though ;)  I have my regularly scheduled appointment (and ultrasound - yay!) this Friday, though, so I figured I can follow up with my doctor then.  Meanwhile, that's probably a good suggestion to switch to running shoes... I'll try that tomorrow.  Thanks!
