Baby Acne :(

I know it's normal for newborns to get baby acne, but seeing them all over my LO's face just makes me sad!  He had such beautiful skin for the first 2 wks, but then BOOM, the acne came on a few days and it's all over his face.  I know there's nothing I can do about it except keep his face clean (I use free & clear detergent, so I don't think the acne is caused by that)... I hope the acne clears up soon.

Coconut oil can help clear it up. It will still run its course, but I felt like it really helped speed things along.

It does!  I've also used it on my own blemishes a few times.  Weird, but it works!

Dd just got some serious acne at 5 weeks.  I thought we avoided it this time...nope.  Her face is covered.  My second didn't get it, my first did.  Weird.  This too shall pass.

I also tried BM per my Dr's suggestion.  It worked!  It clears up within 2-4 weeks on its own, but the BM definately makes a difference.

BM will also work on pink eye too ( can't say from experience, but I hear this is the case). It's amazing stuff!

My pedi said it peaks around 4-6 weeks, DD has been pretty bad for a few days. Then within the last day her tear duct clogged! Now her beautiful face looks all sorts of uncomfortable. I'm totally going to try BM on it!

We thought our 5 week old had baby acne that was normal until yesterday the doctor diagnosed it as baby eczema  and suggested using only Aveeno Eczema lotion twice a day.
